Parama Ghosh Roy

Parama Ghosh Roy is a Los Angeles-based Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Specialist with extensive experience in crafting sustainable commuting solutions. Her expertise spans from developing regional TDM strategies for transit agencies to managing programs for local Transportation Management Organizations/Associations (TMA/Os). As an avid transit user herself, Parama deeply understands the barriers to sustainable transportation. She has successfully worked with public and private sector organizations in Southern California and beyond to implement Steer’s award-winning behavior change strategy, achieving impactful commuter program outcomes.

As the Executive Director of Santa Monica TMO and Go Glendale, Parama has worked with over 100 employers in the region to promote sustainable commuting practices and ensure compliance with local TDM requirements. Her work has included supporting prominent agencies such as the City of Los Angeles, Seattle Department of Transportation, and Orange County Transportation Authority in developing both regional and local strategies. Additionally, Parama has partnered with leading private-sector employers to design commuter benefits programs aligned with their workforce needs—both in the United States and globally.

A strong advocate for integrated transportation and land-use planning, Parama has contributed to initiatives such as transit-oriented development and affordable housing. Her expertise in stakeholder engagement, community outreach, and behavior change programming has consistently driven successful commuter program outcomes.

Parama holds a Master of Planning (MPL) from the University of Southern California and brings her unique blend of practical knowledge, innovative thinking, and global perspective to every project she undertakes.
