At Steer, we believe that more equitable, inclusive solutions create stronger, more resilient, and better-connected communities. That’s why we consider the intersectional equity impacts of everything we do—from transportation planning and infrastructure design to policy development and stakeholder engagement. We help our clients center the needs of their community members in every project, policy, and investment decision, delivering more just and meaningful outcomes for all.

Our practitioners generate data-driven insights, inclusive behavioral research, and foster community partnerships to identify and address barriers to access, mobility, and participation. We work with communities, governments, and organizations to create more inclusive transportation systems, accessible public spaces, and equitable policies that account for the needs of underrepresented and systemically marginalized communities.

By collaborating directly with community members, applying inclusive design strategies, and analyzing the social impacts of decisions, we co-create solutions that are not just compliant—but truly transformative. Whether advancing gender equity in mobility, improving accessibility in transportation systems, embedding socioeconomic inclusion in infrastructure planning, or addressing racial disparities in access, we work to ensure decisions are more community-led, unbiased, and foster a greater sense of belonging for all.
