Alberto leads Steer’s offering in the ports and maritime sector, providing strategic advice to clients on their investment decisions worldwide. His work focuses on commercial and technical due diligence, investment financial and economic appraisal, business planning, and market analysis.
His expertise spans the container, bulk, ferry, and cruise sectors. He also has broader experience in rail freight and intermodal transportation, covering technical, market, and policy aspects.
Alberto has delivered complex projects for private and public clients, including greenfield and brownfield port investments, mergers and acquisitions (M&As), and traffic and revenue forecasts for terminal and shipping operators. He is also an expert in transportation policy and regulation, having worked on projects for the European Commission, Parliament, and public authorities worldwide.
He has successfully led key projects such as refinancing MSC Terminal Investment Limited (TiL)’s global portfolio of container terminals, developing a public-private partnership (PPP) scheme for Royal Caribbean Group’s new cruise terminal in Italy, and developing the business plan for the Greek port of Alexandroupolis.
