Steer Expands Asia-Pacific Footprint with New Office in Mumbai

Steer has officially launched its second office in India, located at Peninsula Corporate Park in Mumbai.

The move strengthens Steer’s presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing infrastructure markets and reinforces its commitment to supporting India’s national economic and sustainability ambitions.

The Mumbai office represents a strategic expansion following nearly a decade of growth in India, where Steer has become a trusted advisor to public and private sector clients alike, many of whom are based in Maharashtra.

Since establishing an Asia-Pacific presence in 2016, the firm has advised on several highway assets and major transport infrastructure projects across India, including over 250+ toll roads and several major airports, while also delivering strategic infrastructure advisory in markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Fiji, Kenya, and beyond.

“Our presence in Mumbai positions us at the intersection of innovation, capital, and infrastructure development,” said Vaibhav Gupta, Head of India at Steer. “As India continues to make bold strides in sustainable transport, decarbonisation, and infrastructure investment, we’re excited to deepen our contribution to the national economy by offering world-class advisory services from this new location. The Mumbai office will also enhance our ability to collaborate with both public and private sector partners, including in new areas such as energy transition and financial due diligence.”

The new office will allow Steer to:

  • Expand its core infrastructure advisory services, including demand, revenue, cost, technical due diligence, and risk assessment.
  • Provide integrated transaction advisory services, including financial and sustainability due diligence.
  • Grow its work in EV infrastructure, employee transportation programmes, and climate-aligned infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with a UK-based sister company, Amberside Advisors, to deliver solutions in energy transition and renewable energy.

This expansion is a positive development for public and private organisations across the Asia-Pacific’s infrastructure and transport sectors. With a new base in Mumbai complementing its established presence in Delhi, Steer is uniquely positioned to support clients across the region in unlocking growth and resilience, providing powerful solutions to the region’s most complex challenges.
