Jordan Bischoff joins Steer as North America Team Lead for Design for Movement

Toronto, ON  – Steer is pleased to announce that Jordan Bischoff has joined the Design for Movement (DFM) team as Associate and Team Lead for North America, bringing more than 12 years of expertise in the spatial user experience industry. Based in Toronto, Canada, Jordan will oversee the team’s work across the region.

Jordan’s career began in architecture after earning his master’s degree from the University of Toronto. He gained early experience at local firms in Toronto before joining the design studios of Bruce Mau Design, and subsequently Forge Design, where he rose to the position of Design Director. His leadership journey continued at Turner Fleischer Architects, where he was invited to establish and lead their wayfinding team. Most recently, Jordan served with Applied Information Group for the last few years, helping to direct their North American operations and projects from Vancouver.

Jordan’s decision to join Steer was driven by the strength of its people and the reputation of the DFM team. “I’ve long admired the talent within Steer and the impactful work the DFM team delivers in Canada, the UK, and beyond—making this a natural next step in my career,” he said.

In his role as Team Lead, Jordan will oversee the DFM team's operations across North America while focusing on strategic growth and expansion of the practice throughout the region. He will lead the development of innovative wayfinding strategies and design solutions that enhance how people navigate complex urban environments, transportation networks, and cultural spaces.

"Jordan brings exactly the kind of strategic vision and design expertise we need to expand our Design for Movement practice in North America. His background in both architecture and spatial design gives him a unique perspective that will benefit our clients and strengthen our team." - Alia Verloes, Associate Vice President, Planning & Design.
