Trent Lethco joins Steer as Senior Vice President, Sports & Major Events – North America

Steer welcomes Trent Lethco as Senior Vice President, leading Sports and Major Events in North America with multimodal mobility expertise.

Steer is pleased to announce that Trent Lethco, AICP, has joined the firm as Senior Vice President, leading our Sports & Major Events offer for North America. Trent will lead Steer’s practice focused on helping cities, venues, and organizations plan and deliver integrated multimodal mobility strategies that connect people to major events, cultural institutions, and sporting venues.

With over 30 years of experience as a transportation planner and business leader, Trent has guided complex, multimodal projects across North America. His work spans urban multimodal transportation networks, sports arenas, cultural institutions, and large-scale mixed use developments. He brings deep expertise in transportation planning, user experiences, and integrated mobility programs that ensure workers, residents, fans, and visitors can move safely and seamlessly across cities and to major venues.

Before joining Steer, Trent served as Program Director for Transportation Planning at KLD Engineering and as a Principal at Arup, where he advised public agencies, private developers, and major sports organizations on citywide strategies, arena developments, and sustainable mobility solutions. His portfolio includes projects that balance technical precision with fan-focused outcomes, ensuring integrated transportation systems enhance both city life and fan experiences of major events.

In his new role at Steer, Trent brings a passion for shaping how mobility connects communities, enhances cultural and sporting experiences, and supports the vitality of urban life. He also serves on nonprofit boards and professional committees, including the Regional Plan Association and UCLA’s ITS Advisory Board, and teaches at Pratt Institute, underscoring his commitment to advancing the field of transportation planning.
